STUDENT GROUPS
The Capitol Theatre is dedicated to helping young people develop an appreciation for live musical theater. As part of our education and outreach efforts, we offer ½ price tickets to all students 30 minutes prior to any Capitol Theatre hosted event.
Capitol Kids in the Classroom
Our mascot Gus, has been teaching kids and teachers about live theatre since 2007, and he’s excited to be preparing for the 2011-2012 school year. With the help of a theatre educator, Gus takes his interactive lessons to schools throughout Central Washington, teaching children what to expect and how to behave on their upcoming trip to the theatre.
This valuable educational outreach is provided at no charge to participating schools. To request that Gus visit your classroom, simply respond promptly to the email notification that is sent to adults who have made reservations for Capitol Kids. Gus’ schedule fills very quickly, so when you see that email, be sure to make your request right away!
