CIRQUE LE MASQUE

November 5 & 6, 2010

Cirque le Masque’s newest production, Carnivale, captivates audiences with an energetic explosion of sight, sound, imagination, and awe-inspiring physicality. Drenched in colorful light and oblivious to the forces of gravity, the finest acrobats, aerial artists and gymnasts perform incredible feats—combining strength, agility, beauty and impeccable timing. Carnivale follows the journey of a young artist with big city dreams. Through various trapeze and high-flying acts, aerial twirling and feats of strength, the story evolves. Carnivale  is a perfect blend of live theatrical entertainment and cutting edge special effects to thrill audiences of all ages.

“Rio is coming to Yakima! Enjoy the world's greatest party, an explosion of talent, death defying feats, colorful costumes and spectacular effects!”

GREASE
January 4,5, & 6, 2011

After spending a hopelessly devoted summer with Sandy Dumbrowski, the new girl in town, Danny Zuko's world is thrown upside down when Sandy appears at Rydell High on the first day of school. What follows is a rock n' roll celebration of growin' up, cruisin' with friends and goin' steady. Hand jive the night away with the show that’ll make you want to stand up and shout, “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop. A-wop-bam-boom!” GREASE!

“The one that you want is back! GREASE, Time Magazine’s 2007 pick for “#1 musical of the year,” is rockin’ across the country in this new production direct from Broadway.”

THE 39 STEPS

April 26-30, 2011

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre! This two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four), an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance!

“Absurdly enjoyable! This gleefully theatrical riff on Hitchcock's film is fast and frothy, performed by a cast of four that seems like a cast of thousands.”
–Ben Brantley, The New York Times
