RON TOBIA - HOUSE MANAGER

As House Manager at The Capitol Theatre, Ron Tobia is the primary contact for all the ”front of house" (FOH) activities during a production. FOH refers to every part of the theatre in front of the proscenium arch and includes foyer areas open to the general public. He is also responsible for scheduling ushers (40+) for our 150+ yearly events and overseeing the post-show receptions.

Ron was born, raised and educated in the Yakima Valley. A lifetime resident, he worked and retired from the Yakima Police Department where he was a certified latent fingerprint examiner. After more than 20 years at the theatre, he still enjoys his job and the people. When he is not at the theatre, you can find him on the tennis court, playing music or in the kitchen whipping up something delicious. Although he considers himself an amateur in all his leisure activities, you will find a very long waiting line when Ron is doing the cooking!
