As the Director of Development, Ryan oversees all the behind the scenes funding for the Capitol Theatre. From show and full season underwriting to playbill advertising and Capitol Kids to donor development, he is the fundraiser. It is not an easy task, but with a passion for all things Yakima and a willingness to support his community as a whole he is the perfect fit for this role.

A Yakima native, Ryan spent the last 7 years in sales with a local television station, the past 3 as sales manager. During that time, he had an opportunity to develop many friendships and relationships, learn more about what makes Yakima tick and cultivate a desire to see all in the community succeed. He has served on numerous non-profit boards and committees and currently presides over New Leaders Yakima County, an initiative of United Way.

When not at work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Genipher, the sales manager of a local radio group and his 4 year old son, Edward. Ryan and Genipher are expecting their 2nd child and hope both kids develop the same commitment to Yakima they have.
