Capture the spirit of the Mexican fiesta!  Ballet Folklorico “Quetzalli” de Veracruz’s traditional folk music and elaborate costumes are as colorful as the quetzal bird for which the company is named.  The troupe presents dances from seven regions of Mexico including a distinctive version of La Bamba from their home state of Veracruz.

Founded in 1985, the group has criss-crossed the globe exciting audiences of all ages.  Their visual fiesta of culture and folklore features many regional dances of old Mexico.  The music, performed live on authentic stringed instruments, punctuates the meticulous movement, colorful clothing and perfect pulse established by the dancers.  Earning standing ovations from Cuba to Malaysia, Quetzalli proves they are one of Mexico's most popular exports.

The Event is presented by The Capitol Theatre and the Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association.  All Proceeds will benefit Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association La Fiesta en May Fundraiser.
