It’s the one time of year when the whirlwind of holiday activity is replaced by a focus on family, friends and tradition.  And, it’s the time of year when this is the focus for The Capitol Theatre.  It’s the time of year when South Third Street (in front of the theatre) is magically transformed into a Norman Rockwell winter wonderland.  And it’s the time of year when The Capitol Theatre, the Yakima Symphony Orchestra and local dance studios to bring you The Eugene Ballet Company’s production of The Nutcracker.

Toni Pimble’s Nutcracker production captures the best of the imagination with colorful sets, costumes and sparkling choreography. The lively comic mice are always a favorite of the children and will feature local children as the Baby Mice in Act I. “Involvement of local dance students is something that we have always encouraged,” commented Pimble. “Their experiences with a professional ballet company will be something they will remember for years to come, giving them something for their dance studies.

It is the holiday event that has become a tradition!.
