BACKSTAGE

The mission of Backstage is to promote, support and maintain the Capitol Theatre and its programs. Members work to provide our diverse community with a variety of art and entertainment. We raise funds, provide social and leadership opportunities for our members, and work to insure community involvement and participation in the Theatre.

Letter from the President

On behalf of Backstage, welcome to The Capitol and 4th Street Theatres! This has been a busy year for us as the Theatre has undergone its expansion, and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it.

While serving on the Backstage is an honor, it is also a responsibility, which we take very seriously. Since 1981, we have been dedicated to making your experiences at The Capitol Theatre—and now, the 4th Street Theatre—the best they can be. From fundraising for Capitol Kids, to helping with the seating of the Best of Broadway series, to filling the lobbies with holiday cheer every December, you needn’t look far to find Backstage at work.

This past year, the expansion added to our responsibilities: we furnished the new green room (actors’ lounge), selected the carpeting that will eventually replace what is in the main theatre, and planned a grand opening event for the 4th Street Theatre that will be remembered for years to come.
This year, we are pleased to announce we will be staging our first fashion show fundraiser! This will be an event you won’t want to miss. Held in the 4th Street Theatre, the fashion show will feature the newest lines from your favorite local boutiques, music, delicious food and wine. We hope to see you there!
