Highly decorated and honored US Army General Barry R. McCaffrey is scheduled to present at Yakima’s Capitol Theatre on Monday, May 12, 2008. General McCaffrey is currently a national security and terrorist analyst for NBC News.
A graduate of West Point Academy and Harvard University, McCaffrey served thirteen years overseas with the Army, completing four combat tours (Desert Storm). In 1996 he was unanimously voted into the position of Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, where he served as a member of the President’s Cabinet and the National Security Council for drug-related issues. McCaffrey’s experiences on the front and in the White House have given him a vast knowledge of international relations, the complex issues of drug trafficking and trade, as well as insight into what future US/international relations might be.
General McCaffrey’s enlightening lecture promises to be thought provoking and to spark conversation and commentary from all who hear him speak. Plan to join General McCaffrey in this special evening presentation, Monday, May 12
Tickets for General McCaffrey are available at The Capitol Theatre box office: 509-853-ARTS or 800-325-SEAT.
